Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau on Tuesday called the killing of four members of a Muslim family mowed down by a pickup truck “a terrorist attack.” “Their lives were taken in a brutal, cowardly, and brazen act of violence,” the Prime Minister said before the House of Commons. “This killing was no accident. This was a terrorist attack motivated by hatred in the heart of one in our community.”(CNN)
Hate crime is not something new and the outpouring of grief is the beginning of a convalescence because it opens the door of understanding. Understanding of deeper issues of how the sanctum of peoples lives have been violated by hyperbolic indoctrination that severed brain from body. This is discussion we need to have. Indoctrination can cause people to react in phobic proportions and the rationale is always defended on grounds that the enemy is so grotesquely vengeful that all accounts must be taken to be safe. Hate is the most powerful force to make indoctrination work and make it successful enough to brainwash people for generations.
Hate crime is a consequence of indoctrination and generations suffer as a result of it. Would you consider a separation wall built to divide people a form of hate crime? I think it is a hate crime that makes it a crime against humanity. In the construction of the wall the psyche of the builders must be engendered to believe that the other is evil and therefore, must be eliminated if the the threat is overwhelming. Notwithstanding the evidence of the what constitutes crimes against humanity, the Israelis continue to innovate on their oppression. This innovation of a wall built of salt is yet another physical indoctrination that screams of hate. The point made here is that this action breeds the likes of 20-year-old Nathaniel Veltman who jumped the curb in his vehicle on Sunday, 6 June 2021, struck five members of the family, killing four, ranging in age from 9 to 74, and then drove off at high speed. While this ‘salt wall’ looks harmless it does send out a message that human right violation is alright and justified in the name of self-determination but not of the other who is not Jewish in this case.
Self-determination is a positive feature in developing the resilience of a people to become unified and cohesive but, the actions that are oppressive tells the story that it is more apartheid rather than self-determination. Revisit the incident where Nathaniel Veltman killed four Muslims and ask yourself where does that premeditated murder mindset come from. Surely not from the Prime Minister of Canada. It comes from the forced stereotyping and generalisations made in mass media on Muslims and on other minority groups. These stereotyping and generalisations puts millions of people under a thrall of tyrants who masquerade as peace keepers. Therefore, dehumanisation sets in and we forget the victims are people just like us. The London Free Press said that among the dead were Syed Afzaal, 46, his wife, Madiha Salman, 44, and their 15-year-old daughter, Yumnah Afzaal. Syed Afzaal’s 74-year-old mother, whose name has not been confirmed, also died. Their 9-year-old son, Faez Afzaal, is in the hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. This fact strikes home because it tells you that hate is so powerful and insalubrious that it devours reason like how fire devours dry wood. Our lives have become so noisy because of social media and the myriad on influences on the world wide web that we have become so lonely and vulnerable.
History is replete with examples of how vulnerable people cower under the onslaught of indoctrination such that they lose their moral compass. When leaders speak with a skewed moral compass mass media popularises it as universal truths. This weapon of mass information remains the vortex of reasons and independent thought. The killing of the family was an act of terror and; the mass media did not bring in the religion of the person to make a point on Christians or Christianity. This killing, if it were perpetrated by a Muslim, Islam and Muslims would take a beating that would climb all curbs of fairness and justice. In fact, it would also be case for the drums of war to be beaten until it reaches the crececendo. Hate crime is also the bias reporting of events to further the embellish the false beliefs held of a people and of a religion. It is worthy to note how quick Afghanistan was bombed to smithereens when Mr.Bill Clinton was caught out with Monica Lewensky. You will recall, the furore of the action but it was drowned by the drumbeats of war and; the people of Afghanistan paid the price for that cover up. The aftermath of that escapade of bombing was never reported. Hate crime is also the killing of civilians who suffer under the yoke of collateral damage. When collateral damage is considered an option for the Muslims in Iraq, Yemen, Syria, Afghanistan and Occupied Palestine, it is clear that a strong degree of hate cloaks the UN resolutions but it is disguised as means to end the war on terror. This beguilement is indoctrination. It is very refined and subtle such that it is ignored as termites eating wood from the inside. When the wood suddenly collapses, it is impossible to rebuild except to replace.
The BLM (Black Lives Matter) movement erupted and the termites fled like sheep from a charging lion. The BLM movement brought hate crime to the attention of the world like a sweltering wind sweeping across the Savanah. In the discomfort of the heat the reality dawned faster than a speeding train reaching its destination. The hot racing wind made you search for cooler places but, even in the shade the heat of the moment met you there. It almost feels like the impossibility of escaping the grim reaper. Hate crime against Black people is also a crime against humanity and; if we don’t frame it like that it will mean that everything non-white is gentile or inhuman. Until we don’t see hate crime as a consequence of indoctrination, we will continue to stereotype and generalise about people, their religion and cultures from a perspective of indifference. The pinnacle of hate crime manifested itself in the scramble for Africa under the yoke of colonialism. Today, we are still suffering the aftershocks of that bygone era save that the Roman Empire is dead but; the concept of the Roman Empire is certainly alive. The BLM movement had provocative images which shows the depth of what hate crimes actually impact upon.
“No Justice. No Peace” is a telling sign that hate crime is a dagger in the heart of justice. Peace is a result of JUSTICE.

When we don’t act on issues that destroy the fabric of society, we begin to normalise hate. The impact is like the aftermath of an atomic bomb. Years after its devastation, the cycle of destruction continues until we accept the abnormality as a something we have to live with. The deformed children still been born in Hiroshima and Nagasaki is a chilling reminder of the hate crime and; the people are going on with their lives but live under the yoke that smothered their lives like fish caught in a net. It is normal now in these two cities to see many deformed children and people suffering the long term effects of a crime that established itself from the seed of hate. When hate is normalised, society becomes so polarised that justice, peace and harmony become a utopia.
A utopia is free from bias and hate. Happiness is normalised because justice is order and peace is the result. The above statistics taken from the USA Department of Justice website shows that hate crimes permeate the social fabric of society where race, ethnicity and ancestry bias tops the list. Hate crimes are the barometers of societies and it tells us a story. The story is not a fairytale but, a story of reality where happy endings rarely exist. The fact that we see race, ethnicity and ancestry high on the list means that racism is the main gateway to indoctrinate people against each other.
