Abdullah Sujee has served as the principal of Roshnee Islamic School for more than a decade, beginning his term in early 2010. An avid public speaker, Mr Sujee has a undeniable talent with language and prose. Attentive and thoughtful, he uses this gift of eloquence to inspire his students with weekly discussions and lectures on morality that remain imprinted in their minds. His passion for teaching English became evident when he achieved international renown by representing South Africa at the Microsoft Innovative Teachers Forum Awards in 2006, in which he was voted second for his remarkable Literature case study. His experience as a headmaster includes a lengthy record, which encompasses being principal of Johannesburg Muslim School and acting as Deputy Head of RIS, as well as being the Head of Department for English Among his many accolades, he won the National MITA Peer Review Prize in 2007 and in the following year, he acted as a judge for MITA. He was also a champion of the prestigious My Engen: Best Lesson Competition He spent a brief period of the early 21st century in Saudi Arabia, a teaching experience that has significantly broadened his perspective. Mr Sujee is also a passionate outdoorsman and athlete it is not unusual for him to often take part in cycling events - a hobby that he encourages among his more passionate students. He has no shortage of impressive goals, and completing his novel is chief among them. He is also never without a book recommendation which denotes how well read he truly is. If one is not significantly impressed, then it should be noted that students under his guidance often participate in a myriad of events and competitions and Roshnee Islamic School has produced a plethora of champions thanks to his tireless dedication.
