The Entrenchment of Racism!
Imagine if we told pupils that aliens had a hand in the words of Shakespeare after reciting this profound soliloquy from Macbeth:
"If it were done when 'tis done, then 'twere well It were done quickly: if the assassination Could trammel up the consequence, and catch With his surcease success; that but this blow Might be the be-all and the end-all here, But here, upon this bank and shoal of time, We'd jump the life to come. But in these cases We still have judgment here; that we but teach Bloody instructions, which being taught, return To plague the inventor: this even-handed justice Commends the ingredients of our poisoned chalice To our own lips." - William Shakespeare, Macbeth, 1.7
If I were to expand the discussion saying that aliens from Mars have assisted Shakespeare in his writings and that is the fundamental reason today for the landing of ‘Perseverance’ on Mars this year, it would mesmerise you or you would debunk it as utter nonsense. However, lets us for argument sake say it like this:
NASA successfully landed its new robotic rover on Mars Thursday, 18 February 2021, a mission to directly study if there was ever life on the planet. Upon landing it communicated with life forms that was picked up by the AI, AR and robotics on “Perseverance” . Communication as yet is unclear but, there were phonetic semblances to words of Shakespeare because of the clear sound balances that matched his use of the iambic pentameter…
You would be astonished because his language for many sound alien like. Therefore, pseudo-archeologists for example, would jump to extraordinary conclusions. Instantly, the greatness of England as a world power will be questionable and pseudo-archeologists will probably postulate that the colonial conquests and the Crusades included the help of aliens. The History Channel on Netflix for example, would flight this and people will lose credibility with Shakespeare as a genius and literature emanating from England would be mystified. The English language would be seen as more than strange yet captivating than Egyptian hieroglyphs. This absurdity is so cretinuous that believers in it will be called insane no matter how mellifluous it is made to sound. Therefore, it begs the question on why we would pay attention to the pseudo-archeologist’s theory that aliens built the Pyramids.
We pay attention to that because we want to believe in it. It leverages our deep hate and suspicions of others who were once great but, not of our type in terms of skin colour and every other trappings attached to racism. This neophobia is the genesis of xenophobia, racism and supremacist ideologies. However, we lose sight of the fact that as the best of all creation that inhabit the universe we are created as different people so that we understand each other, appraise each other, acknowledge each and also disagree with each other opening the door to conflict but; in the main we are not dependent on supernatural forces to do what we can do as humans.
Evidence makes the difference.
The above video left me feeling very efficacious because in the greater expanse of the known and unknown universe, the diversity of life on earth is infinitely superior and all of that infinity is for us. This is extraordinary therefore, this pseudo-archeology is a defeatist position on behalf on the whole of humanity let alone, non-whites. For many people, the thesis that aliens had a hand in doing things on their own accord for us is stodgy. However, there is an instant in the life of the Prophet Sulaiman/Solomon (PBUH) that he had authority of the Jinn who he instructed to build a place of worship for Allah, the High the Great. This authority was given to him but, not the other way around all because the superiority of intelligence and design is with us i.e. humans. The blessed Chapter, revealed in Mecca, has 28 Verses. The designation of the Chapter reflects that it mainly treats of invisible creatures, the jinn, their belief in the Noble Prophet of the Islamic faith (S), the Holy Qur’an, and Resurrection, and the groups of believers and disbelievers amongst them. The closing Verses concern the knowledge of the unseen unknown to all beings besides God Almighty.
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
قُلْ أُوحِيَ إِلَيَّ أَنَّهُ اسْتَمَعَ نَفَرٌ مِنَ الْجِنِّ فَقَالُوا إِنَّا سَمِعْنَا قُرْآنًا عَجَبًا
يَهْدِي إِلَى الرُّشْدِ فَآمَنَّا بِهِ ۖ وَلَنْ نُشْرِكَ بِرَبِّنَا أَحَدًا

2. ‘That guides to the Straight Path. Thus, we have believed in it and we shall never associate anything with our Lord [in worship].
“It is reported that the Noble Prophet (S) departed Mecca for the bazaar of ‘Ukkath in Ta’if, aiming to call unto people to convert to the Islamic faith, though it was of no avail. On his way back to Mecca, he stayed for the night at a vale called Jinn where he recited Qur’anic Verses.
A group of the jinn heard him and converted to Islam and returned to other jinn to propagate the faith. Another occasion of Revelation is reported on the authority of Ibn ‘Abbas as per which the Noble Prophet (S) was reciting Qur’anic Verses while performing his morning canonical prayers.
Upon hearing the Qur’anic Verses, a group of the jinn, engaged in investigating the reasons lying behind the disconnection of heavenly messages, said that the same was the reason. They returned unto other jinn and called them to convert to Islam.” (https://www.al-islam.org/)
When we juxtapose the two instances above, it is evident that mankind is superior and have authority in profound ways better than all other creation. So, there is no denial that there might be other creations out there and to exhaust our energies to explore that which we cannot support with solid evidence like the exact axis of the earth, is like trying to put a grain of sand back in its original place in the vast expanse of a desert. This simile is to illustrate the point that the world, the universe and cosmos is infinitely vast and it begs our research, analysis, documentation and admiration beyond the the stymied conjecture of pseudo-theories.
Sarah Kurnick explores the concept of pseudo-theories with a deep sense of intelligence illustrating how our prejudices actually diminish the greatness of mankind’s achievements. Her candid response to pseudo-archeology is an example of a very discerning mind clear on the fact that all people cannot be judged against the accomplishments of white people. I shudder to think what will be Leonardo da Vinci’s position if his paintings were said to the influence of aliens particularly that of Mona Lisa because of her mysterious smile. If pseudo-archeologists had to ply their theories on Vasari’s description of the Mona Lisa and latched on to the words, ‘seemed divine…’ they would come up with some outlandish hypothesis on aliens and Leonardo da Vinci. In the east, Leonardo would then be a fake or even a fraud.

What is important in the whole archiving and writing of history is maintaining authenticity, accuracy and to avoid the adulteration of names to make it sound other than the original but, more European. This is what Sarah Kurnick does for me in her forthright speech on Ted Talks. To illustrate the point further take the example of Ibn Sina (Persian: ابن سینا)who is one of the most significant physicians, astronomers, thinker polymath and writer the world knew at the time but, history records him as Avicenna which has a very European clink making the immediate association to the likes of Leonardo da Vinci and Christianity and not Islam.
Changing the mindset of people is redirecting their history to secondary status. In doing so, a superior nation complex is emboldened by creating the belief that the forerunners were Europeans or Christians and not others. It posits the view that the custodians of discovery, inventions and knowledge stems from one particular race group, in this case white people, and not any other people. The indoctrination is subtle but so powerful that even the nursery rhyme ‘Humpty Dumpty’ can be an allusion to the fall of the Ottoman Empire. Ibn Sina, if reduced to a history of alien help, what would it say then of Islam and the revelation of the Holy Quran? It would diminish its veracity and the indoctrination would be so perverse that it would make the ‘Last Supper’ of Isa/Jesus (PBUH) a figment of the imagination thus, reducing Leonardo da Vinci to nothingness too.

The way forward…
The advent of the 4IR, The Fourth Industrial Revolution, is upon us and what we know as traditional careers will soon be replaced by AI, AR and Robotics making many industries and corporations obsolete. Schools therefore, have to change their approach in teaching history for what it is so that mankind does not lose touch with its magnificent past. The teaching of history from an unbiased angle must also be tied in with the study of law because this would open the realm of international law to a new dimension because of practice. The more international law experts we have, the better can they draw from the past legal precedents for example to set the trend for new laws.
History records that the great Pyramids suffered an earthquake which caused the white glazed stone to fall off and, the ensuing climate change that led to the great Nile receding can be restudied on how the Egyptians addressed the climate change then. This ancient practice of the Egyptians can be the basis of new international laws to address our global crises of pollution and toxic gas emissions. It means looking into history and asking how they got it right or wrong. History and archaeology must not be taught as facts only but, how it reveals to us how humanity then also addressed challenges of wars, pollution and interacting with different tribes and nations. It is all there but, we have jaded history with prejudice and indoctrination therefore, we recycle discrimination and inferiority complexes to maintain the status-quo of racism.
Pupils should for example be given a video on pseudo-archeologists’ view of how aliens allegedly helped the Egyptians build the great pyramids and they must deconstruct it. In their deconstruction they must research, document, collaborate, use AI, AR, Robotics to reason out what the realities are and not use the scapegoat of alien help as means out of the amazing truth which still interests us with a phenomenal awe of presence. This would make the teaching of history permeate across the curriculum and probably open the door for a journey to Egypt or other ancient colossal structures for in-depth study. Their entire assignment can be like a documentary on National Geographic or perhaps, their very own Youtube Channel. It will, most definitely, lead to people of all tribes and nations of differing ethnic groups and cultures working together to unravel mysteries and discover new knowledge to showcase the greatness of humanity and also the destructive nature of humanity. Is this not more authentic than writing history to further a geo-political agenda of white supremacy or perpetuate a clash of civilisations when the world needs justice to usher in peace? The answer is yes. To do this we need to start because:

Let it not be that the history we give our children about us, is adulterated with aliens and UFOs because, if our children don’t find the irrefutable evidence we will signify nothing to them. Our Achille’s heel is our current position of attributing greatness to aliens for mankind’s grand successes and; to blame mankind directly for wars and holocausts primarily to make one loved and the other hated. It must not be that your own child or grandchild must write you among the ‘lighted fools’ who inveigled humanity for the disgusting medal of racism adorned in ethereal like research. Humans built the Pyramids, humans have landed on the moon and humans will rescue the planet because it is our own limited resource for our own survival and not that of aliens.
